Members are spearheading a change in the LA Dems leadership. Join the #electoral-working-group channel on Slack and join the huddle.

The Poli Ed Working Group is starting a new series of readings for this Fall/Winter, on the third Thursday of each month. At each session we'll talk about a something meaty (usually a book), but we'll also cover something that will take less time to consume (an article, movie, or video).  If you have the time to read everything, then great! However, if you're pressed for time and can only look at the smaller subject, that's fine as well. Even if you don't get a chance to do the reading, you should still come by and take part in the conversation.

On November 16, we'll be discussing chapters 1 and 6 in Kohei Saito's Marx in the Anthropocene as well as selected chapters in Jason Hickel's Less is More.

Come talk politics with us and test out how well you believe the things that you think you believe. Reading books is all well and good, but you have to practice pulling it out of your head and putting it into your own words. Beer can sometimes help that process.
